Method 5 Automated Basic dirancang dengan kemampuan pencatatan data otomatis berkelanjutan dan menggunakan Venturi untuk memantau dan menyetel pengaturan tekanan secara otomatis. Inti dari sistem ini adalah konsol Auto Isokinetic Flow Integrator dan menggunakan rakitan pengujian lapangan yang sudah teruji, liners, dan wadah sampel yang sudah digunakan oleh penguji. Method 5 Automated Basic juga menggunakan Pompa Vess Oiless Karbon.
